Art

 In art this week we were beginning to look at mixing colours. This week we looked at the primary colours  and created art work using the primary colours of red, yellow and blue. We painted a base background of each of the primary colours and then used different tools to make marks on the background using the other two primary colours.

Our first Art lesson explored the Natural world and we watched a short film created by David Attenborough. The children chose to draw anything that inspired them in the video. Many chose to draw volcanoes, trees, leaves and animals.

English editing our work

 This week in English we have been writing our own versions of the story of Little Red Riding Hood. Today we learnt all about editing and how we need to check our work for errors to improve it. We had a go at editing a piece of Mrs Squibb’s work before trying to check our own work.
