Art
This week in Art we have began a new unit called ‘Expressive painting’. We spent our first lesson exploring two new artists and created pages in our sketchbooks which were inspired by their work. We looked at colour, shape and tone.
History
Year 2 enjoyed a wonderful trip to Osborne house as part of our history work all about Queen Victoria and also to link with our DT topic of bathing machines. We enjoyed a walk around the house looking at the Christmas decorations as well as learning lots about Queen Victoria. We also learnt all about her children in a special workshop about them. Finally we ventured down to the beach to look at Queen Victoria’s bathing machine in order to inspire us in creating our own bathing machines.
