 In English today we started our new topic looking at a book all about the Great Fire of London. We started today by thinking about modern London and the words we would use to describe London. We the made posters all about London to try and persuade people to visit London.

 In DT today we practised a running stitch in preparation for making our hand puppets. We practiced threading our needles which took a lot of perseverance.

 In history this week we started to think about how we know what happened in the Great Fire of London. We realised that because it was so long ago there are no photos or videos so we thought about what sources of evidence we do have. We learnt that Samuel Pepys who was in the Great fire of London kept a diary and this is a good source of evidence, along with newspapers. We then had a list of statements and we had to find the piece of evidence which told us this statement.
